Power Restored In Vermont

Green Mountain Power

Vermont's largest electric utility says its crews have restored power to all customers left in the dark by the first major snowstorm of the season.

And with power restored in Vermont, Green Mountain Power is sending 42 line workers and 21 bucket trucks to New Hampshire to help with power restoration there.

GMP spokeswoman Kristin Carlson says the utility had crews in place and lined up extra workers in advance of the storm that hit Vermont on Wednesday.

On Wednesday evening about 15,000 GMP customers were without power.

At the peak of the storm in New Hampshire, more than 200,000 homes and businesses were without power. By Friday afternoon that number had fallen to under 100,000.
