A new report estimates that up to a third of the money spent on health care in Massachusetts is doing little to improve the lives of patients. The report from the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission cited several examples of wasteful spending that contributes to Massachusetts having the highest per person health care costs in the country. WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with Dr. Paul Hattis, a member of the commission about the report.
