New York Gov. Hochul announces "parameters of conceptual" budget deal, two weeks after deadline

New Leaders Announced For Mass. Exec. Office Of Health And Human Services

The Massachusetts Secretary of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services recently announced new leaders of several key Health and Human positions.

Secretary John Polanowicz said that the new team is “strong and experienced” and will help the Patrick administration “advance goals around health care access, youth violence prevention, and strengthening our safety net services.”

Stacey Monahan was named the new Commissioner of the Department of Transitional Assistance. Monahan had served as Interim Commissioner following the resignation of Daniel Curley in February.

Peter Forbes was named Commissioner of the Department of Youth Services. Forbes is a 30-year DYS employee and most recently served as Deputy Commissioner.

Former deputy assistance secretary for the Department of Health and Human Services Kathy Betts was named Assistant Secretary for Children Youth and Families.

Regina Marshall was named HHS Deputy Assistant Secretary, Office of Disability Policy and Programs.
