Burlington, Vermont – Five panelists met at the University of Vermont's Ira Allen Chapel to discuss The Media and The Public Trust: The Making and Breaking of Political Heroes . The moderator is Norman Ornstein, Resident Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research. The panelists are Howard Fineman, chief political correspondent for Newsweek magazine; Ron Kaufman, former political director to President George H-W Bush and national political director of the Republican National Committee during Ronald Reagan's presidency; Dotty Lynch, CBS News political consultant and currently a fellow at the JFK School of Government at Harvard; Howard Wolfson, former communications director for senators Hilary Clinton and Charles Schumer and former Executive Director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee; and Howard Dean former Vermont Governor and Presidential Candidate and current Democratic National Committee Chair.
