Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino plans an announcement Tuesday morning about his pitch to try and land the second global North American headquarters for Amazon.

Astorino will be at the Westchester County Center in White Plains to announce his plans to attract the e-commerce company. Astorino’s pitch will be assisted by drones and he will be joined by local elected officials and business leaders, including Somers Supervisor Rick Morrissey.

In early September, Amazon announced a search for a new headquarters, a full equal to its Seattle headquarters, with a preference for metro areas. Proposals are due by October 19 with site selection in 2018. Amazon plans to invest more than $5 billion in construction and operation of what it’s calling HQ2.
