On Friday, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that more than $32 million in grants and loans are going toward drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects across New York. Four of the seven projects are in the Hudson Valley.

The projects, approved by the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation Board of Directors, include two in Orange County: $4 million for Middletown to replace sewer mains, and $1.5 million for Kiryas Joel to replace water meters. Poughkeepsie is receiving $11.2 million for a wastewater improvement project and the Town of Rockland in Sullivan County will use its $5.5 million to improve the Livingston Manor Wastewater Treatment Plant. Other projects announced for funding include in Utica and in New Baltimore, in Greene County.
