There is a presentation and public hearing this evening in New York on one of the casino resorts proposed for Orange County.

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Woodbury is holding a public hearing concerning a proposed $750 million casino resort on a 121-acre site, adjacent to the Harriman Metro North station and Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. The Board and the public will hear a presentation from Caesars Entertainment and Flaum Management beginning tonight at 7 at the IBEW Union Hall in Harriman. This is one of five casino resorts proposed for Orange County. The Village Board will accept written public comments on the proposal until June 2. Last week, New York's Gaming Facility Location Board said developers proposing casinos in Orange County must commit to investing at least $350 million in their projects.
