Boston Marathon Winner Visits Kingston

The men’s winner of the 2014 Boston Marathon is in the Hudson Valley this weekend.

Boston Marathon Champion Meb Keflezighi is in Kingston to serve as the official race ambassador for the 32nd annual  Kiwanis Kingston Classic. The annual classic added races this year, with the help of HITS Endurance, the event management company behind HITS Triathlon Series and HITS Running Festivals. Those additions include a half marathon and 5k and friends and family mile race which, along with the marathon and 10k, are all Sunday, at Robert Dietz Memorial Stadium. Keflezighi, the first American man to win the Boston Marathon since 1983, will be on hand Saturday afternoon to offer training tips, a running clinic, and book signing to registered athletes. Other career highlights include a silver medal at the 2004 Olympics and winning the 2009 New York City Marathon.
