Members of a Newburgh street gang have been sentenced for various offenses.

U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara says a former leader of the Newburgh Bloods, Anthony Boykin, was sentenced to life plus 32 years in prison. Bharara says Justin Simmons, who was also with the Newburgh Bloods, was sentenced to 50 years in prison. Back in June, a jury convicted the two of charges arising out of their involvement, from 2006 through 2013, in the criminal activities of the Bloods gang, charges that included racketeering conspiracy, crack-cocaine distribution conspiracy, and carrying firearms.
