An upstate village may have put itself in line for an audit from the State Comptroller.

The Greene County village of Catskill could be audited, and could even lose grant money after failing to file a report on its fiscal year.

State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli’s current "fiscal stress report" found that out of 535 villages across the state, 15 of them, including Red Hook in Northern Dutchess County, were under some level of fiscal stress.

The Daily Freeman reports Catskill has run afoul of the Comptroller in the past, citing a 2009 report criticizing village officials' record keeping. Catskill Village Board President Vince Seeley told the newspaper he wasn't familiar with the state comptroller’s fiscal stress report, and that he was too busy dealing with snow removal to be interviewed in depth about the report.

No word from the Comptroller's office as to what might be next.
