Office of the Westchester County Executive

MasterCard is expanding its headquarters in New York’s Hudson Valley and creating a few hundred jobs.

MasterCard is undertaking a multi-million dollar renovation of its headquarters in Westchester County, adding 270 jobs, mainly in administration, information technology, and research and development. Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino notes the project includes the renovation of the company’s 475,000 square-foot headquarters in Purchase plus the expansion and renovation of rented space nearby. Construction is estimated to begin in the first quarter of 2014. Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the MasterCard expansion as well, saying the company also is investing several million dollars to establish a new mobile e-commerce technology lab in New York City, which will lead to 122 new research and development and software jobs in Manhattan.
