Orange County Officials Call For Probe Into Alleged Anti-Semitism At School District

In New York, the acting Orange County executive is calling for an investigation into allegations of anti-Semitism in the Pine Bush Central School District.

In consultation with Orange County Executive Edward Diana, Acting Orange County Executive Steven Gross Friday called upon the Orange County Human Rights Commission to immediately open an investigation into what he calls significant allegations of anti-Semitism in the Pine Bush Central School District. Diana is in the hospital recovering from liver transplant surgery. Gross says if any of the allegations are found to be true, swift action must be taken to address these issues. A few hours prior to Gross’s call, Governor Andrew Cuomo directed the State Police and Division of Human Rights to investigate what he called serious allegations of anti-Semitic harassment, physical attacks, and intimidation at the school district, which serves students from part of Orange, Ulster, and Sullivan Counties.
