The Health Show #1251

It seems like the southeast Asian country of Myanmar is always in conflict...and when the country has been in the news, there has been little good to report.  The 50 million residents have been under military rule in one form or another since 1962.  Even the country’s name is a subject of controversy.  It’s still known as Burma to the US State Department and most of the English speaking world.

But with all the political unrest...there is another cloud over the country: Myanmar has one of the largest AIDS epidemics in Asia.  On today’s Health Show, we’ll air a special documentary from Radio Netherlands about the HIV/AIDS crisis in the country of Myanmar.
