The del Lago Resort & Casino will start accepting bets on sports.

The "sportsbook" opening ceremony Friday at the Finger Lakes casino will feature former NFL Pro Bowler and Syracuse University quarterback Donovan McNabb.

Casinos around  New York began taking sports bets after the state's Gaming Commission approved regulations earlier this year. New York is the ninth state to permit and regulate sports betting.

Del Lago will have 23 self-service betting kiosks and seating for nearly 200 people.
