The Sage Colleges To Undergo Changes During Reorganization

Some big changes are coming next year to The Sage Colleges. The Board of Trustees has approved the adoption of a new strategic plan that will return the school to its previous name, Russell Sage College, and create one unified college with campuses in Troy and Albany. The changes will mean the Troy campus will go co-ed after a long history of women-only higher education. 

The president of The Sage Colleges, Dr. Christopher Ames, tells WAMC’s Brian Shields the plan address current and future enrollment, as well as societal and academic trends.

The student body at the Troy campus which has been all-female for 100 years except for a brief period during World War II.
