Winner of the 2017 Ameripolitan Music Award for Best Female Rockabilly Artist, and named the “Best Up-And-Coming Band” by New York's Hudson Valley Magazine, Lara Hope and the Ark-Tones are the Northeast's premier Roots Rock n’ Roll & Rockabilly Twang outfit! We were thrilled to welcome them to The Linda as a part of our Open For Takeout Virtual Concert Series. They've spent much of the past few years on the road, both in Europe, and in the US, and had the pleasure of touring with The Brian Setzer Orchestra, The Blasters, and the Reverend Horton Heat. The band has also had the privilege of supporting some of the greats, including Joan Jett, Tiger Army, Jay Leno, and America. They recently finished recording their 3rd all-original studio album, which will be released worldwide June 25th. So enjoy Lara Hope and The Ark-Tones recorded live at The Linda on March 29th, 2021.

Like an old-time barn dance in downtown New Orleans, the Bumper Jacksons pull together a vast array of early American traditions into a deliciously cohesive sound that strikes you right in the heart. Hard-swinging grooves and roadhouse drinking songs are valleyed by delicate waltzes of loss and regret. At the center of it all, is an invitation to join in – be it a rowdy dance, a moment of soulful intimacy, or a movement to make a better world. The group began as a duo, a city-meets-country experiment between songstress Jess Eliot Myhre and banjo player Chris Ousley.  Since their inception Bumper Jacksons has grown into a fiery five and six-piece, with horns and pedal steel.  Bursting at the seams with some of the richest threads of old America, Bumper Jacksons bring you into the center of a party where everyone's invited and the dance floor never sleeps. So enjoy Bumper Jacksons featuring Jess Eliot Myhre on vocals, clarinet and washboard, Chris Ousley on banjo, guitar and vocals, Alex Lacquement on upright bass, and backing vocals, Dan Samuels on drums and Dave Duckpin Hadley on pedal steel.  Recorded live at The Linda on April 22nd, 2017

We realize that the impacts of COVID-19 have been dire for working musicians and the music industry as a whole. The Linda: WAMC’s Performing Arts Studio is thrilled to let you know about “The Open for Takeout Virtual Concert Series” produced in collaboration with Chromoscope Pictures.  The program features local and regional musicians playing on The Linda stage and viewable worldwide online through Youtube. The goal of this series is to bring musicians back to the stage in a safe environment and provide fans with a professionally produced concert delivered directly to your homes. Similar to some of our in-person concerts, these will be ticketed events. And similar to all in-person concerts at The Linda, we will insure the highest standard of production.

Coming up on The Open for Take-Out VCS we welcome Pop Songstress TORI April 26th at 8 pm, you can find tickets to this show and the rest of the series at thelinda.org or keep up with us on Facebook (@thelindawamc) and Instagram (the_linda_performing_arts).
