Brian Stokes Mitchell Performs With The Philadelphia Orchestra At SPAC On 8/6

    On August 6th The Philadelphia Orchestra will kick off their three week summer season at The Saratoga Performing Arts Center with The Great American Songbook.

Bramwell Tovey conducts an evening of music from the Gershwins, Bernstein, and Copland with vocal selections sung by Brian Stokes Mitchell.

Tony Award Winner for the 1999 revival of Kiss Me Kate, Brian Stokes Mitchell’s other Broadway credits include The Kiss of the Spider Woman, Ragtime, Man of La Mancha and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. His most recent solo album, Simply Broadway, was released in 2012. He is also the Chairman of the Board of The Actors’ Fund.

Sarah has been a public radio producer for over fifteen years. She grew up in Saranac Lake, New York where she worked part-time at Pendragon Theatre all through high school and college. She graduated from UAlbany in 2006 with a BA in English and started at WAMC a few weeks later as a part-time board-op in the control room. Through a series of offered and seized opportunities she is now the Senior Contributing Producer of The Roundtable and Producer of The Book Show. During the main thrust of the Covid-19 pandemic shut-down, Sarah hosted a live Instagram interview program "A Face for Radio Video Series." On it, Sarah spoke with actors, musicians, comedians, and artists about the creative activities they were accomplishing and/or missing.
