The Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice

The Phoenicia International Festival of the Voicepromotes the human voice as an instrument of healing, peace and artistic expression through presenting world class performances in Phoenicia, New York and surrounding areas. From opera to gospel, world music to Broadway, the Festival celebrates the human voice in all its multi-faceted glory. This year’s festival takes place July 30th through August 3rd.

This year’s Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice -a tribute to Spain- features a great mix of veteran artists with many years of experience and some terrific young, on the rise talents. It also features a new play by Carey Harrison which stars Harrison and pianist Justin Kolb who is also the Chairman of the Festival and Director of Education. Harrison and Kolb join us now along with festival Executive Director Maria Todaro and Artistic Director, Louis Otey.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
