The Arts Center Of The Capital Region

The Arts Center of the Capital Region engages people in the creative experience – they are the region’s preeminent proponent of the arts and creative education, expression, and appreciation through classes, camps, exhibits, and presentations.

This past Monday night, The Arts Center hosted a screening of the 2004 documentary - Touch the Sound: A Sound Journey with Evelyn Glennie, as part of the Albany Symphony’s American Music Festival.

Christopher Marblo is the President of The Arts Center of the Capital Region and he joins us now to tell us what is new and upcoming.

Dr. Alan Chartock is professor emeritus at the University at Albany. He hosts the weekly Capitol Connection series, heard on public radio stations around New York. The program, for almost 12 years, highlighted interviews with Governor Mario Cuomo and now continues with conversations with state political leaders. Dr. Chartock also appears each week on The Media Project and The Roundtable and offers commentary on Morning Edition, weekdays at 7:40 a.m.
Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
