Albany, NY – In today's Academic Minute, Dr. Patricia Dibartolo of Smith College discusses the psychological dangers of perfectionism.
Professor DiBartolo teaches several courses, including clinical psychology, child clinical psychology, and child and adolescent anxiety disorders. Her research interests encompass the development of child perfectionism, anxiety and related disorders in youth.
Much of Dr. DiBartolo's recent scholarship focuses on the construct of perfectionism and how it relates to emotional well-being. She has conducted a number of studies with her students examining the nature of perfectionism.
