Dr. Douglas Raybeck, Hamilton College

Albany, NY – In today's Academic Minute, Dr. Douglas Raybeck of Hamilton College's anthropology department discusses how humans adapt to survive.

Professor emeritus Dr. Raybeck earned his Ph.D. from Cornell. He is an expert in future studies and wrote Looking Down the Road: A Systems Approach to Future Studies. He studies Malaysian culture and published Mad Dogs, Englishmen and the Errant Anthropologist, a book summarizing his fieldwork in Kelantan, Malaysia.

He has been a fellow at the National Institutes of Health and is past-president of the Society for Cross-Cultural Research.
