Albany, NY – Michael Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story labeled our government a corporatocracy...a system created to help corporations maximize their profits and minimize regulation. That's just good economics, according to Milton Friedman. That economic philosophy has guided American business since the Reagan administration - and author John Perkins says it's the reason for this recession. Perkins is the author of "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" and his new book, "Hoodwinked" continues the conversation about what big business is doing around the world, and why change is inevitable. Perkins, who says the birth of his grandson led to his change of heart, says he was recruited by a woman. We spoke by cell phone between his speaking engagements.
