Director of Public Health Gina Armstrong informed the city council of the situation during her bimonthly COVID-19 update.
“We do have about 14, what we call clusters right now, 14 work sites," said Armstrong. "So we're managing a lot of cases that where there has been some transmission at the workplace. And so our contact tracers work very closely with the managers and the employers there to take all necessary protocols, encourage their other employees to get tested and to also encourage face coverings at the worksite.”
With a daily case rate of over 11 per 100,000 and over 30 active COVID cases, the city is back in the state’s “yellow” designation for coronavirus transmission for the first time since mid-May.
