Gathering Light: The Art of Stephen Hannock at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center.

The exhibition, "Gathering Light: The Art of Stephen Hannock" will be up at the through October 21 at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center.

The Brattleboro Museum & Art Center is an independent, non-collecting museum housed in former train stations, with the old ticket windows still intact. The station was built in 1915 and re-opened as the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center in 1972.

Anna D'Ambrosio, Director and Chief Curator of the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute Museum of Art joins us to tell us about their Shadow of the Sphinx exhibition which is on display through November 25th at the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute in Utica.

SPAC - The Tang Teaching Museum

The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College opened in October of 2000. There is always a lot going on at The Tang – for instance - in July they opened Dance/Draw – an exhibition that explores how developments in visual art and dance began, and how they have shaped the art of today. It will be on display through December 30th. Ian Berry is out guest - he is the Associate Director for Curatorial Affairs and Curator at The Tang.

National Museum of Dance & Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs, NY

The National Museum of Dance in Saratoga Springs is the only museum in the country dedicated solely to dance. They have a lot of great events coming up – including their annual gala on August 11th during which Ben Vereen will be inducted as their 48th inductee into the Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney Hall of Fame.We learn more from Donna Skiff (Director of the National Museum of Dance) and Sarah Hall Weaver (Assistant Director and Curator).
