  • Los Angeles based dance company BODYTRAFFIC will perform at The Mahaiwe in Great Barrington, Massachusetts this coming Friday evening and Saturday afternoon.Artistic Director and co-founder Tina Finkelman Berkett leads a masterful troupe who interpret various choreographers’ distinct visions.
  • “Derek Hough: A Symphony of Dance” is coming to The Palace, in Albany, NY on November 10th. The show is packed with top tier dancing and electrifying music, and will feature several genres of dance like ballroom, Latin, contemporary – and more!
  • Two time “Bessie Award” winning dancer, choreographer, educator, director, writer, and speaker, Hope Boykin, founder of HopeBoykinDance, was an original member of Complexions, danced with Philadanco, and performed for 20 years with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. On September 16, a new piece from HopeBoykinDance will be presented by the Catskill Mountain Foundation at The Orpheum Performing Arts Center in Tannersville, NY.
  • On Saturday August 26 at 7 p.m. and Sunday August 27 at 4 p.m., acclaimed dancer-choreographers Jodi Melnick and Maya Lee-Parritz will present the world premiere presentations of a new dance work entitled “Água Viva” at Hudson Hall in Hudson, New York.

Curated by Dr. Jennifer Field, Executive Director of the Estate of David Smith, this is the first museum exhibition to focus exclusively on the indelible influence of music and dance on Smith's work in painting, drawing, and sculpture.Guest Curator of “Songs of the Horizon: David Smith, Music, and Dance” and Executive Director of the Estate of David Smith, Dr. Jennifer Field, and Curator of Education and Engagement at the Hyde Collection, Katelyn Foley join us.
  • Tonight at 8 p.m. at Tanglewood, Xian Zhang conducts the Boston Symphony Orchestra in a program of Copland and Dvořák featuring Nimbus Dance.Samuel Pott danced as a soloist with the Martha Graham Dance Company prior to founding and serving as Artistic Director of Nimbus Dance.
  • The New York City Ballet returns to Saratoga Performing Arts Center this week for a series of performances beginning tonight and running through July 22nd.The four unique programs highlighted by SPAC include premieres by Kyle Abraham, Justin Peck, and a program featuring three story ballets: Swan Lake, Fancy Free, and Firebird.The New York City Ballet performed at the opening ceremony for the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in 1966 and returns each year for their summer residency.To tell us more, we welcome Artistic Director of New York City Ballet and the School of American Ballet Jonathan Stafford. A former NYCB Principal Dancer, he retired from performing in May 2014 and was named one of NYCB’s Ballet Masters.
  • PS21 is an arts center located in Chatham, New York. Founded in 2018, the sprawling property encompasses a state-of-the-art black-box and open-air theaters; 100 acres of fields, meadows, woodland trails, and orchards.In June, PS21 launched its 2023 season with the 10th anniversary edition of The NEXT Festival of Emerging Artists.
