Former New York Democratic congressional candidate Zephyr Teachout is joining other anti-corruption activists Thursday to deliver petitions to Trump Tower. The petitions demand that President-elect Donald Trump sell his assets to eliminate conflicts of interest between his role as president and business owner.

Teachout will join with members of such groups as Common Cause New York, Demand Progress and MoveOn.org to deliver some 200,000 petitions to Trump Tower demanding that Trump sell his assets and place them into a blind trust.

The petition calls on House Oversight Committee Chair Jason Chaffetz to launch an investigation into Trump's financial arrangements. Trump was scheduled to have a press conference December 15 to address his conflicts of interest, but cancelled it.

In addition to Trump Tower in New York City, activists will deliver petitions to Trump properties in Chicago, Las Vegas and Washington, D.C.
