Veterans' Assistance Center Opens At State Run Soldiers' Home

A new veterans’ assistance center has opened at the state run soldiers’ nursing home in Holyoke.
The center will provide veterans of all ages with help in obtaining government benefits their military service entitles them to,community referrals, and interaction with local veteran service agents The new center was praised Thursday by the Massachusetts Health and Human Services Secretary John Polanowicz
The assistance center is the latest example of Soldiers’ Home providing more community wide services. There is a outpatient dental clinic and a partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association to provide early screening.
