wikipedia commons

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will speak at a rally Sunday in Poughkeepsie while Chelsea Clinton speaks at events on both sides of the Hudson River.

Trump is scheduled to appear at a rally at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center at 3. There are several road closures in the city, beginning at 6 a.m. and there is no parking on certain streets. Trump has a few ties to Dutchess County. In early April, Trump named longtime friend and Dutchess County Sheriff Adrian “Butch” Anderson as an honorary co-chairman of his New York state campaign. And his Trump National Golf Club is in Hopewell Junction.

Also Sunday, Chelsea Clinton is campaigning for her mother, Democratic presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, at the CSEA on Davis Avenue in Poughkeepsie at noon and in Kingston at the Senate Garage on Front Street at 2 p.m.

Former president Bill Clinton made stops across New York on Saturday.

Republican candidate John Kasich will return to the Capital Region with a town hall meeting Monday in Schenectady. Democratic candidate Senator Bernie Sanders is holding events this weekend in New York City.

New York's primary day is Tuesday.
