Traffic Fines Repeal Bill Passes NY Senate

Albany, NY – The New York Senate unanimously passed a bill yesterday that would allow local governments to keep their share of revenues from traffic fines. The legislation repeals a budget measure that would send millions of dollars in speeding tickets revenues to the state. The repeal bill was introduced two months ago by a Senator from the Hudson Valley. WAMC's Hudson Valley Bureau Chief Allison Dunne reports.
