Still No Verdict In Last Of Berkshire Triple Murder Trials

Berkshire District Attorney's Office

After more than three full days of deliberation there is still no verdict in the last of three separate trials that have captivated the region involving the murders of three Berkshire County men.

Jurors in Hampden Superior Court began deliberating Friday afternoon and will continue Thursday. Thirty-four-year-old Caius Veiovis has pleaded not guilty to charges connected to the murders of David Glasser, Edward Frampton and Robert Chadwell. The men disappeared from a Pittsfield apartment in August 2011. Their dismembered bodies were discovered two weeks later in Becket.

Defense lawyers say there is no scientific evidence linking Veivois to the murders. Berkshire District Attorney David Capeless says there is enough evidence for a conviction.

In separate trials earlier this year, Adam Lee Hall and David Chalue were convicted and sentenced to life in prison for their roles in the killings.

Jurors in Chalue’s trial deliberated for about 30 hours.
