Several New Telecom Poles Now Slated For Removal In Troy

Carmella Mantello

Mysterious wooden poles that began springing up around Troy have been traced to a telecommunications copy, which has agreed to remove some of them.

The 60 to 80 foot tall wooden poles began appearing in various city locations around late February. They've since been traced to a company called Mobilite, which has agreed to begin removing certain ones on Monday.  City Council President Carmella Mantello says the panel will "discuss and consider a proposed contract with Mobilite this Wednesday at a council Finance committee meeting."
