Report Says States Must Fully Fund Smoking Prevention Programs

Albany, NY – An article published this week in the American Journal of Public Health analyzed the impact of state spending on tobacco prevention and cession programs on youth smoking. It found that New York would prevent more than 100-thousand young people from beginning to smoke if it funded anti-smoking efforts up to the levels recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.
