Puerto Rican Leader May Visit NY To See Post-Sandy Work

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rossello may visit New York next week to see how the state rebuilt after Superstorm Sandy in 2012.

Cuomo, a Democrat, has faulted the federal response to Maria. He compared the focus on New York and New Jersey following Sandy and said much more must be done to help Puerto Rico get back on its feet.

Cuomo returned Thursday night from his second visit to Puerto Rico following Maria. He said conditions remain "deplorable" and that far too many people are without power or access to clean water.

New York has sent hundreds of personnel and tons of supplies to assist recovery efforts.
