Closing arguments in the last of three separate trials that have captivated the region involving the murders of three Berkshire County men are expected by the end of the week.After nine days of graphic testimony, the prosecution rested its case Wednesday in Hampden Superior Court. Thirty-four-year-old Caius Veiovis has pleaded not guilty to charges connected to the murders of David Glasser, Edward Frampton and Robert Chadwell. The men disappeared from a Pittsfield apartment in August 2011. Their dismembered bodies were discovered two weeks later in Becket.
In separate trials earlier this year, Adam Lee Hall and David Chalue were convicted and sentenced to life in prison for their roles in the killings.
The defense is expected to call four or five people to testify Thursday. Closing arguments are expected Friday.
