Authorities have named the four people found dead in a Troy apartment the day after Christmas.
Police are investigating the deaths of 5-year-old Shanise Myers, 11-year-old Jeremiah Myers, their 36-year-old mother Shanta Myers and her partner, 22-year-old Brandi Mells, as homicides. Their identities and photographs had been circulating on social media since Tuesday night.
Police Chief John Tedesco said the quadruple homicide was not a random act. According to the Times Union, law enforcement sources not involved in the investigation said all four victims were bound, with their throats cut.

At a press conference Wednesday, Chief Tedesco vowed to bring those responsible to justice. Police have not revealed a motive or details about how the four were killed in the city’s Lansingburgh section.
Victory Christian Church of Albany is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
