A 14-year-old boy was arrested Monday after he told an ex-girlfriend he planned to shoot her and others at Corinth High School. Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo said the teen texted a 13-year-old girl saying he was on his way to the Oak Street campus with a gun.

The girl disclosed the threat, and police and school officials were contacted around 7:30 a.m. The Post-Star reportsZurlo initially said officers went to the boy's home and took him into custody without incident. But the sheriff said he later learned the boy was arrested as he arrived at school. He did not have any weapons.

The Sheriff's Office said he is charged with making a terrorist threat and aggravated harassment. He will be prosecuted in Saratoga County Family Court as a juvenile.
