A fourth suspect has been arrested in connection with the killing of an upstate New York man whose roommate also was found slain last week.

Police in Troy 26-year-old Cresencio Salazar was captured in New York City on a second-degree murder warrant in the killing of 23-year-old Javier Gomez. Police say Gomez was found beaten and stabbed to death inside his Troy apartment on Oct. 17.

The body of his roommate, 24-year-old Cristian Gonzalez Hernandez, was found the next night in a creek outside Troy.

Authorities in Virginia arrested three other men connected to the slayings last week. They're being held in jail pending an extradition hearing next month.
