Pittsfield Triple Slaying Trial Gets Started

wikipedia.org

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — The trial of a ranking member of the Hells Angels motorcycle club who's charged with taking part in the killing of three Pittsfield men is under way.

Adam Lee Hall of Peru faces murder and other charges in Hampden Superior Court. The trial is being held outside Berkshire County because of concerns about massive publicity about the case there.

The 36-year-old Hall and two other men are charged with the shootings of David Glasser, Edward Frampton and Robert Chadwell in August 2011. Authorities say Hall wanted Glasser dead so he couldn't testify against him in another case. Prosecutors say the others were killed to eliminate witnesses.

Hall in a letter to The Berkshire Eagle denied playing a role in the slayings.
