Pittsfield’s Commissioner of Public Services says the city is hard at work preparing for Monday’s Memorial Day Parade.

David Turocy, the city’s commissioner of public services, says city workers are making sure that the parade route is ready for Pittsfield’s annual Memorial Day parade.

“Making sure it’s swept, cleaning up the sidewalks, any of the trash that’s out there," said Turocy. "Cleaning the parks up, making sure they’re all presentable and ready for the crowds.”

The parade begins at 9 a.m. Monday on the steps of City Hall on Fenn Street.
