Pittsfield Man Faces Charges For Harrasing Berkshire ADA

A Pittsfield, Massachusetts man is facing charges for allegedly harassing an assistant Berkshire district attorney.

Brian Podavini was accused of threatening Assistant Berkshire District Attorney Daniel Hespeler as he was leaving his office in downtown Pittsfield Wednesday.

The Berkshire Eagle reports Podavini said he’d “pound his face off the pavement.” Pittsfield police warned Podavini not to contact anyone from the DA’s office unless it was in court or by phone.

Later that day, police arrested Podavini for allegedly harassing Hespeler at the nearby Berkshire County Courthouse. He pleaded not guilty in Central Berkshire District Court to charges of disturbing the peace and threatening to commit a crime.

A pretrial hearing is February 21st
