A Pittsfield man has been charged in the murder of his wife, who is believed to have been strangled. Police arrested 38-year-old Timothy Gill Monday afternoon and charged him with murder, according to the Berkshire District Attorney’s office.Pittsfield Police found the body of 37-year-old Halena Irene Gill in her Madison Avenue apartment shortly after 8 o’clock Thursday morning. An autopsy over the weekend ruled the death a homicide with the preliminary cause being strangulation.
Timothy Gill is being held at the Berkshire County House of Correction without the right to bail. He is expected to be arraigned in Central Berkshire District Court Tuesday morning in Pittsfield.
