New York gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon is calling for an investigation after a campaign mailer paid for by the New York State Democratic Committee accused her of being silent on anti-semitism.

Nixon, who is facing Governor Andrew Cuomo in Thursday’s Democratic primary, addressed the mailers at a campaign stop Sunday in Tarrytown.

“We need to get to the bottom as quickly as possible. As to all the people who were involved in working on this and OK-ing it, the idea that the governor new nothing about it is ludicrous. And the fact of the matter is he’s called it a mistake, he’s called it inappropriate, but he hasn’t called it what it is, which is an out-and-out lie,” said Nixon.

The New York State Democratic Committee has apologized for the mailers.
