Newspaper Outraged Over Bureau Chief Firing, Wants To Drop AP News In Protest

St. Albans, VT – At least one Vermont newspaper has taken initial steps to cancel its membership with the Associated Press. The publisher of the St. Albans Messenger says the national and international news organization has been too tight-lipped over the termination of its highly respected Vermont Bureau Chief, and questions whether he, or his readers, can trust the AP any longer. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.
