Mercury Spill closes North Adams Middle School

North Adams, Ma – A middle-schooler in North Adams released mercury into the atmosphere at Conte School on Monday morning in an attempt to get out of school for the day. The school has been closed since and will most likely not reopen until next week. The event has sparked a region-wide investigation, WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief Charlie Deitz reports
