Melissa Marr - Carnival of Souls
In Melissa Marr’s Carnival of Souls were brought into two worlds. One is where humans are blind to the witches and supernatural powers that be, and the other is a more carnal place where daimons kill for a higher place in society and lower caste members sell themselves for food and coin. Marr’s writing brings us flawlessly into these places, and gives us just enough to set our imaginations free.
