'Man Of La Mancha' At Barrington Stage

Every summer, Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, MA kicks off their main stage season with a musical.

This year, they present Man of La Mancha - book by Dale Wasserman, lyrics by Joe Darion and music by Mitch Leigh. It is adapted from Wasserman's non-musical 1959 teleplay I, Don Quixote, which was in turn inspired by Cervantes and his seventeenth-century masterpiece Don Quixote. The original Broadway production opened 50 years ago (1965) won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

The Barrington Stage production of Man of La Mancha is directed by fantastic BSC Artistic Director, Julianne Boyd with music direction by the incomparable Darren R. Cohen and features choreography by Greg Graham.

The show begins previews tonight and runs through July 11th. We are joined this morning by Julianne Boyd, Darren Cohen and cast members Jeff McCarthy, Felicia Boswell, and Tom Alan Robbins.
