Ice, Sleet And Snow Affecting Region

Ice, sleet, and snow are affecting the region today before temperatures plunge below zero tonight.

The National Weather Servicehas issued Winter Storm Warnings for Herkimer, Hamilton, Northern Warren and Northern Fulton Counties until 7 p.m.

Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect for the Champlain Valley and Vermont, as well as far north-central Vermont until 4 p.m. this afternoon.

Total snow accumulations are forecasted at 3 to 6 inches, with localized amounts up to 8 inches. Ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch are expected.

Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for the Capital Region, Hudson Valley, Western and Central Massachusetts, Southern Vermont and Northern Connecticut.

Snow and sleet accumulations up to two inches and ice accumulations of up to two tenths of an inch are expected.

Flood warnings have also been issued throughout the region.
