Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival's 28th Season

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival began in 1987 with an outdoor production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, performed under the stars at Manitoga, industrial designer Russell Wright's home in Garrison, New York. The following year HVSF was officially born. Boscobel House and Gardens, in Garrison, became its new home and HVSF grew dramatically, from its first audience of 230 to over 35,000 in 2013. Twenty-eight years later, HVSF is a critically acclaimed regional theater, attracting audiences from the tri-state area and beyond, and operating a year-round education program.

This year, Hudson Valley Shakespeare presents the bard's Othello, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, and David Ives’ The Liar. The shows run in rep through the end of this month. They also present a family-friendly 90-minute production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night's Dream on August 18th and 19th.

We are joined by Jason O’Connell and Nance Williamson - two actors who each play multiple roles in the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival season.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
