EPA Considers NY Exemption From Ethanol

Albany, NY – A request to exempt New York from using ethanol in gasoline sits with the Environmental Protection Agency. New York Senator Charles Schumer is urging the EPA to grant the waiver, saying gas prices could rise without the exemption. The EPA granted such a waiver to New Hampshire earlier this week, a decision which, some say, has no bearing on New York. WAMC's Hudson Valley Bureau Chief reports.
