The Emma Willard School in Troy has updated its report issued in April detailing a history of sexual misconduct between staff and students dating back more than 50 years.

The firm Cozen O’Connor compiled the report chronicling sexual abuse allegations dating back to the 1950s at the all-girls private high school.

On August 4th, Head of School Jenny Rao wrote to the Emma Willard Community to announce that new instances of sexual abuse had been added to the report — including an unsubstantiated claim of an administrator-student relationship in 2015.

Rao wrote that the school “will continue to investigate any and all cases of abuse brought forward by any member of the community” and that all information has been and will be reported to local authorities.

Some alumni have publicly criticized the school in recent days, claiming the school can provide more details about instances of abuse.
